Oh, and by the way, today is 15 weeks. I am OFFICIALLY done with my first trimester and baby Chapa is the size of a naval orange!

I had a dream last night that I had a baby girl.
Josh wasn't in the dream, but my sister was and she let me use her baby's car seat as we drove to TGI Friday's from the hospital.
I would say that it is a sign, but gosh I sure hope I don't go straight to TGI Fridays when I leave the hospital. TGI Fridays is gross!
This is the third baby dream I have had, in the first one I had a baby boy. The second dream wasn't as happy.
May 28 is the big REVEAL, only 4 more weeks! Then I won't have to rely on these crazy dreams to try and decode the future.

14 Weeks
The baby is now the size of a lemon. Sounds pretty big to me.
So now, I present you the first baby bump picture. 4.19.2010
Drink Me Drink Me Drink Me
I have been trying to avoid caffeine as much as possible, but have been missing my iced Chai lattes. Thanks to TAZO, I don't have to skip out on my daily Chai latte. It tastes exactly the same as the caffeinated stuff at Starbucks!
Now, I just need to figure out what rolls I can eat at a sushi place. Then I will have successfully worked my way around these safety guidelines. Victory will be mine!

Sore Loser (literally)
Last night I joined the crowds downtown, and drove around in circles for 20 minutes trying to find a parking spot (I really need to learn how to parallel park), to celebrate Jayme and Marian's birthdays at Laser Quest! Jayme and Marian are in my program at school, everyone in the picture is in my program except for the girl on the lower right, she is Daniel's fiance.
Here is a short recap of the night:
Round 1: I spent this game running around terrified and vibrating every 5 seconds, since your vest vibrates when you are shot. I placed 28 out of 33 and realized I had my strategy all wrong. So the next game Katie and I staked out a spot up high and shot people below like snipers.
Round 2: Baby Mama (my code name) placed 12th! I would have placed higher, but turns out my trusted partner Katie was "accidentally" shooting me the whole time. She placed 4th.
Me, Jayme, Kristen, Marian, Laura, Katie, Daniel and Emily
A leaf blower with a roll of toilet paper at the end? Genius! Some of the group went out to the honky tonks on lower Broadway afterwards, but I went home. I'd like to say it was because I don't find smoke-filled bars full of drunks line dancing a place for a pregnant lady (which is mostly true), but honestly my back and feet were killing me and all I could think about was getting home and going to bed.
The true winner of the night was baby, or hormones, or my uterus.
Whoever is responsible for this excruciating lower back pain, you win, I give up.

I promise...
I will do a new post tomorrow! I have had a lot of work this week. But don't give up on me.

Thoughts on a Sunday Afternoon
(And why is spellcheck telling me that mailwoman is not a word, but madwoman is? Seems a little sexist.)

Another Holiday Spent Alone
Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Valentine's Day, and now Easter. Besides Christmas day, I have spent the majority of the day on all of these holidays alone, well alone with Lola. Josh went out of town on Thanksgiving, worked until 8:30 on Christmas Eve, worked V Day and is working from open to close today. It really stinks, and makes me wish we lived closer to family. But, all is not bad. I got a lot of cleaning done today, successfully hard boiled my first egg and have been enjoying the sunlight.

"Oh, Oh, Mexico"
Rocky Point is sounding really nice about now. Lounging on the beach, not taking off my swimsuit for days at a time, wading in the salty water, Mexican food, and La Michoacana our favorite popsicle stand in town.
So Josh and I had lunch at Baja Burrito today, I had chicken tacos with guacamole, it really hit the spot.
Then, after a little shopping and driving around, we went to the 12 South neighborhood to check out Las Paletas for gourmet Mexican popsicles. The modern little storefront with chalkboard walls displaying the days menu was not quite as authentic as La Michocoana, but the popsicles did not disappoint. Since they were cash only and we could only scrounge up enough quarters for one, Josh let me (the pregnant lady) get whatever I want (isn't he sweet). I got butter pecan and it was delish. Next time, coconut, or lime, or Mexican caramel or maybe hibiscus?
Now if only I could find a beach and a mean shrimp cocktail...that would be jackpot.

Zoo Day
Josh and I went to the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, and did not expect the crowds that accompanied us at 10 am. I forgot school was out for Good Friday, and since it is only the second week since the weather has been nice, the masses headed to the zoo. I told Josh I felt like we were part of a herd migrating through the park. I attempted to get some sun, as you can see in the top picture I am glowing with paleness. There were so many trees everywhere, we were mostly shaded and I don't even have the hint of a tan line. Boo!
Overall we thought it was a lot like the PHX Zoo, not all that exciting as far as animal exhibits are concerned. But, it was nice to spend the day in the sun with Josh!
